Funded by the EU INTERREG VC Programme the overall objective of RAMSAT is to improve natural and cultural heritage policies. RAMSAT is designed to protect the natural and cultural heritage of Remote And Mountainous areas through Sustainable Alternative Tourism.

RAMSAT is designed to protect the natural and cultural heritage of Remote and Mountainous areas through Sustainable Alternative Tourism. RAMSAT covers mountainous territories of Southern (Portugal and Spain), Eastern (Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania), and Western Europe (Northern Ireland) and it has a high level of transnational scope.

The exchange of good practice and knowledge to improve alternative tourism in remote and mountainous areas, in order to ensure the protection and sustainable use of natural resources and cultural heritage.
